Uptown Girl

Having just moved to the Upper East Side, which is a bit like a foreign country to me, I was delighted to be able to walk to a few things going on this week in my new uptown neighbourhood!

Thursday kicked off with Chloe Sevigny and Carrie Imberman hosting the opening of the"Kentshire" gallery on Madison; Carrie's family's business which deals in amazing estate jewellery, antique furniture and objects. It was all SO gorgeous, although I had to blink twice where the comma was on the price tags.

Following this I went down to the Accompanied Literary Society's event for the launch of "Seven", the new superhero comic book by Denise Wohl ( Arden's mum) and James C.Shooter, at Philippe Starck's Gramercy Yoo.

Then Friday we went to the always glamourous and quintessential New York hotel the St Regis, for a Paper magazine party celebrating their recent "You Are It" fashion story.

Chloe looking stunning and sunkissed does a re-touch in the toilet queue at "Kentshire".

Korean and Karoke on W 32nd Street

Friday November 2nd 2007

On Friday me and Paud were really treated to a fun night out in Korea town with the Korean girls; womenswear designer ( and my lovely studio neighbour) Doo Ri and her friend Eunice Lee, the designer behind the menswear line Unis, plus some of their staff.
After a few (!)cultural glasses of shochu and some delicious BBQ , kimchi and the lot, we staggered a few doors down and upstairs ( not getting off at the co-ed spa btw) for a good night of tone-deaf karoke....

Doo Ri kicks off with "Stand By Your Man".

Eunice on the tambourine as Paud recovers from "Staying Alive "( he has a great falsetto!)

Me with Chris Constable from LaForce and Stevens, giving Bananarama's"Venus" a go.

The charming shopboys from Unis.
